Carmel by the Sea was initially a small artist’s community.
Today, the quaint little town of Carmel draws a large number of visitors from all over the world.
Many of those visitors are on the lookout for Carmel’s famous former Mayor, Clint Eastwood. Others come to Carmel by the Sea to purchase one of those cute Carmel Cottages that we all love. Others still, either take a stroll down Ocean Avenue for world famous shopping or walk their dogs, because Carmel is America’s #1 dog loving town. You can’t go far without seeing man’s best friend enjoying a bone at the local coffee shop or restaurant. Although the reason most people come to visit or live in Carmel is because of the unbelievable scenery. Everywhere you look it’s breathtaking; white sandy beaches, the beauty of Carmel Mission, or the trails of Point Lobos where if you are lucky you will spot an otter frolicking in the surf or even better a whale spouting on their annual migration path up or down the coast! Yes, Carmel has something for everyone.
